My 4-Week Skin Diary

Note how your skin feels each morning before products, any new product you introduced, and any reaction. Patterns become visible when you write them down.

Your entries stay in this browser, on this device. Nothing is sent to us, and there is no account. Prefer paper? Chapter 15 of the book has the printable version.

Weeks 5–8 · The quiet stretch

One line a week is enough.

Weeks 5 through 8 are when the method actually pays off, and when most people stop tracking. How does your skin look and feel?

At week 8

Read it back.

Which single change appears most often next to a good day? That product or habit is your keeper. Then look for anything that shows up next to a bad morning more than twice. Remove it, and do not replace it for a month.

Stinging, redness, or breakouts? Stop the newest product and go back to the last week that felt good. Then open Chapter 11. It walks you through what to do, symptom by symptom.

Pro tip · Photos you can compare
  • Same place, same time of day. Morning window light works; direct sun does not.
  • No makeup, no filter. Turn off any automatic smoothing in your camera app.
  • Same distance and angle. Line your chin up with the same point on the screen each time.
  • Take three: straight on, then turned slightly to each side, so texture shows.
  • Keep them in one album so Week 0 and Week 4 sit side by side.
